A few little Thomas facts:
The stories about the notorious train were created by Reverand Wilbert Awdry. Reverand Awdry created his engines out of his love for trains and as a way of entertaining his son as he recovered, in isolation, from the scarlet fever.
Rev. Awdry wrote the first stories down on whatever available scraps of paper that he found laying around. At first Rev. Awdry drew simple pictures of steam locomotives on the paper along with the stories. A head on view being the easiest to draw, he drew a row of locomotives standing in an engine shed with a human face and expression on each locomotive's smokebox door.
After Rev. Awdry's wife convienced him to follow through with his ideas the series of books were published. From that humble beginings the little train who once was a mere story on a napkin now lives in the hearts of millions around the world.
Another Fact:
Thomas The Train Coloring Pages was a concept developed by a three-year-old kid who loves everything to do with the big blue train. The look and feel of this website was also created by my nephew - well I did all the hard work he just sat in a chair next to me and supervised!
Not a day goes by where little Michael doesn't ask me to print him out some coloring pages.
