Your baby is fragile when he or she is small and growing, and so using the best possible products on your baby’s skin is vitally important. The best way for you to nourish your baby’s skin is using the purest products around, as these are the products that will provide the greatest benefits without drawbacks like chemicals or potential allergic reactions. Here is what you need to know about nourishing your baby’s skin from head to toe with the help of the purest baby skin care products that the market has to offer.

The skin on your baby is his or her largest organ and also one of the most vitally important. Skin has a porous nature, and so your baby’s skin is going to absorb whatever you rub onto it, allowing it to enter into the blood stream. Some baby care products such as baby powder are also capable of being ingested or inhaled by your baby. Because there are so many different ingredients found within baby creams, lotions, shampoos, powders, soaps, oils and ointments, it is vitally important that you choose the purest possible products and know which products contain potential toxins so that they can be avoided.

Unfortunately, many toxic ingredients do not have to be included on labels and so it can be rather challenging for you to determine just what chemicals are being rubbed onto your baby. For example, many types of skin care products use Phthalates, but infants are significantly vulnerable to developmental toxicity and reproductive toxicity from phthalates because their metabolic system is so immature. Anything that includes a fragrance as an ingredient, or that clearly states phthalates on the ingredients list should absolutely be avoided when it comes to the health of your baby.

Many skin care and bath products are also unfortunately contaminated using formaldehyde or 1.4-dioxane, and these are chemicals that have been linked to skin allergies as well as cancer.

Before you apply any ointments, creams, shampoos or other products to your baby’s skin, it is vitally important that you figure out just what ingredients you are potentially introducing into your baby’s blood stream. Luckily, there are a number of companies on the market now that are working to produce completely natural, pure and organic products for skin care and bath and body, not only for babies but for all ages.

One example of a company that is doing the right thing is Earth Mama Angel Baby, which makes a truly wonderful line of completely 100% natural and certified organic products for baby that use only natural materials with no parabens, no phthalates, no artificial preservatives, no dyes and no fragrances in any of the products. This is a truly impressive line of products, and potentially the purest products that you can use on your baby.

As it is essential to prevent an adults skin from damages, a babys delicate skin requires even more care. While it is absolutely vital to use sunblock during the summer days, one should use baby skin care and organic baby shampoo to protect their child from harmful chemicals.

When spring arrives, we all want to spend as much time outdoors as possible. When summer is just around the corner, we look forward to going to the beach, swimming, and participating in a wide variety of outdoor activities. The result of spending so much time outdoors is that we are increasingly exposed to the suns UV rays. This exposure can cause serious harm to our skin if we do not protect it.

It is essential to protect our skin starting at an early age because overexposure to harmful UV rays can take years to develop into skin cancer cells. Ultraviolet has a high frequency and therefore more energy which can be more hazardous. The more energetic a ray of light is, the more that light will break the skin molecules apart thereby damaging the cells. When these rays break through to the nuclei of skin cells and damage DNA, the likelihood of the development skin cancer increases.

There are three types of ultraviolet light as it relates to protecting the skin. They are UVA, UVB, and UVC. Although UVC is the most damaging of the rays, it is totally blocked out by the Earth’s atmosphere. UVB is the wavelength that causes the most sun damage on skin. UVB rays are more likely than UVA rays to cause sunburn, but UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin. Scientists now think that UVA radiation may increase skin damage that can lead to skin cancer and cause premature aging.

UV rays can penetrate the clouds and are at their highest during late spring and early summer. They are also at their most dangerous from mid-morning to late afternoon, and will cause serious skin damage. The sun and the UV rays can damage your skin within fifteen minutes of exposure. To protect your skin from UV damage, you should apply a zinc sunblock lotion before you are exposed to the sun.

Sunscreens lotions work by deflecting the UV sunlight or dispersing it. It is recommended that you use at least a 15 SPF (Sun Protective Factor) sunscreen. Your eyes can be affected by the UV rays too. You should protect your eyes with sunglasses that indicate that they block UV rays. You should also apply an eye cream that has sunblock on it. Reapply sunscreen lotion often. You should wear a waterproof sunscreen. As well, your lips have very fragile skin and can be seriously damaged by exposure to UV rays. You should apply a lip balm that has a sunscreen in it.

Your skin is the most exposed organ of the body. UV rays can do serious damage to the skin if left unprotected. For best protection, acquire a sunscreen product that is resistant to both UVA and UVB rays. As well, wear a hat that has a wide brim to provide shade for your face. If you do see an unusual change in your skin, see your doctor. Because our skin is valuable to our physical state of well-being, we need to take good care of it.

Proper Baby skin care is one of the first challenges that every new mother will face. A newborns skin is very sensitive and is prone to many different kinds of irritations. Most of these are very common and are not a cause for concern, and most are also completely treatable at home.

Diaper rash is probably the most common baby skin rash. For the most part, it can be prevented by taking some very simple precautions. Keep baby’s diaper area as dry as possible by changing wet diapers quickly, and let some air at that area for a few minutes whenever you can. If your baby does develop diaper rash, apply a bit of zinc oxide cream.

Another baby skin care issue that may arise is newborn acne. This is caused by a change in hormones shortly after birth and will disappear on its own as baby’s hormones settle down. Do not apply acne creams or lotions of any kind.

A newborns skin can also be very dry. Again, this is also a condition that resolves itself soon after birth. The second layer of skin is much softer and moister and will replace the dry first layer in a few weeks. Try to use very mild soaps, lotions and shampoos. The more natural the product, the less likely it will be to produce irritation.

Babies all seem to love their daily bath and it should be a part of your baby skin care routine. Just remember to keep the bath fairly short, and use a gentle moisturizing cream. Apply the cream while baby’s skin is still damp and pat baby dry.

Heat rash, a red pimply rash, like diaper rash, can suddenly appear if the baby gets too warm. It will subside on its own when the body temperature gets back to normal. In our concern for baby’s health, we often overdress new babies. Try dressing the baby with layers of clothing and blankets so you can adjust the warmth as necessary.

Be careful not to overdress a newborn, Heat rash can quickly develop in areas like the armpit, neck and diaper areas if the baby gets too warm. Again, this is not a serious condition and will go away on its own. Try dressing your little one in layers so you can more easily adjust the clothing to match the temperature.

Enjoying your new baby is the most important thing to focus on. Just keep things as simple and natural as possible, and you’ll find healthy baby skin care is really quite easy.
