This model car set is intended for connoisseurs and collectors. It received top prize in the High-End Toy Category in the 2008 Japan Toy Awards from the Japan Toy Association. The main target market for this set is males in their late 30s to 50s. The first thing owners do is start assembling five types of rail parts, which enable about 100 layouts to be created. The course has two lanes, and the system has two settings: slot mode, where the player operates the race, and auto mode, where the owner sits back and watches the cars race automatically. The first set, which is based on the Toyota 2000GT, retails at 7350 yen including tax. At the end of November, a Nissan-based set is also scheduled for release. Tomy aims to sell 30000 sets by the end of next March.
